Sublimation printing: what is it?

Sublimation fabric printing is a printing method that uses heat and pressure to transfer an image or design onto a poly based fabrics.

The process involves printing an image onto special sublimation transfer paper using sublimation ink, which is a type of dye that turns into a gas when exposed to heat.
The printed transfer paper is then placed onto the fabric and covered with a protective cover paper. The fabric and transfer paper are then placed under high heat and pressure, which causes the sublimation ink to turn into a gas and penetrate the fibers of the fabric. The gas then solidifies back into a dye, becoming a permanent part of the fabric.
One of the benefits of sublimation fabric printing is that the colors are vibrant, accurate, and long-lasting.

The process also allows for the printing of high-resolution images and designs, which can be printed across the entire fabric without any noticeable seams or discontinuities.

Another advantage of sublimation fabric printing is that the process is environmentally friendly and does not generate any hazardous waste, as the inks used are non-toxic and do not contain any harmful chemicals.
